THE LUCRATIVE WORLD OF HEALTH ARTICLES AND BOOKS
Instructor: Cal Orey
Welcome to the wide, wide world of medical, health and fitness consumers. The trend is for people to get well and stay well. And it’s this kind of attitude that opens up doors to a variety of departments such as health, diet and nutrition, diseases and conditions, fitness and exercise, family health and sexual health. While I am a health nut, I didn’t plan on becoming a health writer, but for over 15 years, it’s the health-related projects that have kept me busy. And there’s plenty of work to go around. I will help you to know the potential pitfalls—and practical points to help meet the challenges of writing magazine articles and health books.
In this 6-week course, you can expect to learn: Cutting-edge ways to tap the health market, and you will create and show your own ideas for submission to health editors and publishers. For each strategy, Ms. Orey will provide hour-by-hour professional guidance and suggestions as well, while students participate in discussion.
